After over 10 years of gradual expansion we have outgrown our previous home in Lincoln’s Inn, and have relocated into fully renovated and refurbished premises at 42 Bedford Row.  
 
42 Bedford Row boasts state-of-the-art conference facilities, a mediation suite, and a seminar suite with capacity for 70 delegates, together with the space and facilities to continue our policy of measured expansion.

Lord Justice Leveson appointed as Chairman of the Criminal Justice Council

The Lord Chief Justice has announced that former member of chambers Lord Justice Leveson, the Senior Presiding Judge, will be appointed as the Chairman of the Criminal Justice Council with effect from 20 October 2008 ahead of the retirement of Lord Justice Gage.

Bone v London Borough of Newham, Court of Appeal, 2008 ICR 923

In this case, in which Jude Shepherd represented the local authority, the Court of Appeal held that the EAT had been correct to conclude that the slip rule could not be used to add a new finding to a judgment on a point of substance but the EAT had erred in ordering that the remedies hearing should therefore simply proceed on the basis of the original decision.
